The harbour tour starts at the Ratsdelft stop in the heart of the seaport city. It passes the buoy yard and the floating docks of the Thyssen Nordsee-Werke and the Cassens shipyard. The large gas tankers dock in the oil harbour. Hard to believe, but it takes about 36 hours to unload a cargo like this. Looking towards Emden's outer harbour, you can see the Great Sea Lock, the Borkum Quay with its ferry service to Borkum and, of course, the Volkswagen plant's car loading facility.
